Susan Spezzini, Ph.D., is Professor of English Learner Education in the School of Education, University of Alabama at Birmingham. As the TESOL Program Director since 2005, Dr. Spezzini led transitioning a certification initiative into two degrees (MAEd/ESL and EdS-TESOL), each with separate tracks for teaching adults and K12 students.
