Keitha-Gail Martin-Kerr is a PhD candidate and teaching specialist at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She teaches literacy content and pedagogy courses to pre-service and in-service teachers. She has been in education for 21 years and taught at the elementary level in Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, and New York City before moving to Minnesota to be in higher education full-time. She has presented at several conferences both nationally and internationally and currently serves in professional organizations such as the Literacy Research Association and The American Education Research Association.
