Dr. Cynthia Lundgren has a long history working with multilingual learners of all ages. A master teacher, Cindy has taught in K-12 for over 30 years. Most recently a researcher at WIDA, Cindy works with teachers to create more opportunities for students to engage in rich conversations that support deeper awareness of how language functions. Prior to joining WIDA, Cindy was an assistant professor at Hamline University. She has expertise in the areas of systemic functional linguistics, second language literacy, multilingual methods, and teacher education.
