Dr. Emily Mattson, EdD, is an ESL teacher and instructional coach with Roseville Area Schools in Minnesota, bringing 20 years of experience in teaching and leadership. She has served as a classroom and intervention teacher, collaborative teams leader, and Advanced Academic and AVID site lead. Emily has completed all units of the LETRS courses and integrates a genre-based approach in her instruction. Her scholarly interests include family engagement, multilingual families’ decisions regarding ESL services, transformational coaching, and genre-based pedagogy. She is dedicated to staff development and enhancing instructional practices to support multilingual learners.
