Lisa Velarde has a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and specializes in multilingual multiliteracies. She is a Teaching Faculty member in the Secondary Education and ESL Dual Certification Masters program at UW Madison. She is a former ESL, Language Arts, and Bilingual teacher.
