Maya Milán (she/ella) is a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. Maya was the teaching assistant for the Caminos hacia el Biliteracy Project and co-faciliated the workshop and co-writing group with Laura. Maya comes from a long history of Chicano activists and migrant workers, including family who worked alongside famous Colorado activist Rodolfo ”Corky” Gonzales. Maya also is a graduate of dual language programming in the district where we did our project, going through dual language elementary school as well as graduating with an honors in biliteracy in Spanish.
