Mikow Hang is a Hmong community researcher for the Somali, Latino and Hmong Partnership for Health and Wellness (SoLaHmo). Since joining SoLaHmo in 2009, she has participated in a NIH-sponsored training program on community-based participatory action research (CBPAR) and research methods and participated on various projects, including intimate partner violence in the Hmong community, creating a cultural asset framework, building resiliency in youth, developing radio stories on diabetes and heart disease, as well as co-facilitating a workshop on
ethical conduct of human subjects research for community partners. She received her BA in sociology from the University of Michigan in 2003.
