Renee Ullom is an Assistant Professor of Education at Southwest Minnesota State University, where she instructs preservice teachers in the undergraduate and graduate education program. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Merchandising, a master’s degree in Elementary Education, and an educational doctorate in practice and leadership from the University of North Dakota. She specializes in courses leading to a teaching degree in TESL and Elementary Education. Her passion is equitable access to curriculum for multilingual learners while acquiring English, and she supports this through extensive work on differentiation strategies for general education teachers and content area teachers. Before moving into higher education, Dr. Ullom was an elementary teacher for 13 years and a ML teacher for 10 years.
