Douglas J. Anderson

Douglas J. Anderson, Ph.D., is a philosopher, anthropologist, and TESOL educator with over 20 years of experience in higher education. He holds a 220-hour TESOL/TESL/TEFL Certificate from Oxford Seminars with specializations in Teaching English to Young Learners and Teaching English Grammar. As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador (2017–2020), he developed an innovative adaptation of the UNESCO-recognized TiNi methodology for ESL instruction, integrating environmental education with English language learning. He currently provides volunteer ESL instruction at Internados de Mater Dei in Medellín, Colombia. His research interests include translanguaging pedagogy and experiential language learning.
